History
lavender dates back over 2000 years. it original use was for cerimonial and it powerful aromatics. it was used to wash laundry, disenfect floors, repel insects and even had a connection with the after life. by the middle ages and the pleague it was believe to ward off sickness however, many believe it was more for odor control. even now lavender haas been know for its aromatics becoming popular in soaps, perfumes and other cleaning products. it is also used in teas to help relieve stress and anxiety

Sowing Seeds
Plant seeds on the surface of the soil lightly pressing them in. keep soil moist during this time.

Pruning
Cut spent flowers back 2 to 3 inches about the woody stems. If you harvest lavender do this in the spring.
Shape the bush and and cut back the the green growth to prevent woody legs from forming.
Harvest
harvesting should be done throughout the summer and fall. cut back the flowers to encourage new buds to form throughout the year.
