History

Mint gets its origins in mythology, The Greeks believe that hades wife persephone was jelous of his lover and cursed minthe to become mint plant. Mint has always been know for a refreshing and bold flavor. It would be used to aid in nausea as well as the consumption of unpleasnt medicines. While it had been used it was never really a popular plant and it wasnt until the 1960 when other varities such a peppermint and speatmint were introduced that its incoperation in modern hygiene had begun. It is hard to track the amounnt of mint used in culinary seeing as gum, toothpaste and pharmaceuticals are the most popular uses.
