Oregano began as a medical herb used by the greeds it was very popular in culinary and cerimonial purposes. it was used in weddings a placed on burial to bring peace in the afterlife. it wasnt until the italian migrantion to america that it had gained populatiry in italian style cusine

Plant care
Sowing Seeds
Sprinkle the seeds on the surface of the soil and allow for sun exposure. keep moist during this time
Germination
Seeds can take 7 to 14 days for germination.
Pruning
Once the Sprouts are 1 or 2 inches tall then out to about 10 inches
Harvest
when the plants get about 6 inches tall cut the stems back leaving atleast 2 to 3 inches for new growth.
Growing Tips
Oregano can ge grown for several year if pruned back properly, unpruned growth can become woody and stop producing.
