Plant care
Sowing Seeds
Start seeds indoor, sprinkle the seeds and gently press them in.
Germination
germination can take 1 or 2 months depending on the variety. keep soil moist during this time.
Pruning
Remove any dead leaves from the plant. Remove any leaves that are touching the soil.
Remove unwanted runners to focus energy in desired areas
Harvest
Wait until the strawberry is a uniform color they do not ripen after harvesting
Pinch about a 1/2 inch oif the stem with the berry rather then plucking the berries.
Growing Tips
Some type can with stand as low as 20F. cover with a frost blanket or move indoors if in a container.
Strawberries can last for several yeasrs. Keep the roots warm in winter to maintain a productive harvest.
