Plant care

Sowing Seeds

Plant only tubars seeds may not produce a potato. bury on half the sweet potatoe and give time for slips to develop

Germination

It can take several weeks for slips to develops roots. Once roots are develops remouve the slips from the mother plant and allow amd soak in water until white roots develop.

burying the slips on there sides can result in more tubar production.

Pruning

prune back leggy vines but cutting anout a half inch after a leave node.

Remove any dead or diseased leaves.

Harvest

Lossen the soil with a pitch fork and gently pull them out.

Growing Tips

Growing from a seed can be a fruitless endevor. a seed does not promise tubar growth. it could years if not decades to finds the right one
