History
Turnips are belived to have originated in the hundi kush mountains where there where then brough over to the greeks and romans. For thousands of years the primary use of turnips were pickling for long term storage. They were never seen as a desireable crop compare to other and were often considered food for the poor

Plant care
Sowing Seeds
Sow seed 1/4 to 1/2 inch deep and space them 1 to 2 inches apart. Cover with straw to help retain moisture.
Germination
Seeds can take 3 to 10 days for germination. keep soil moist during this time.
Pruning
Thin out turpins to about 3 inches apart.
Remove any dead or diseased leaves.
Harvest
Loosen the soil with a pitch fork and gently pull them out.
Growing Tips
turnips can pe planted closer together . harvest smaller ones first and allow for the ones that remain to contine to grow
