Wheat is one of the first crops cultivated by man and was the trigger that turned man from nomads to the settlers we are now. Resposible for the rise of civilizaton wheats has remained in the tops 3 producing crops worldwide for millenia. Triticum aestivum is the most popular as they reponsible for 95% of wheat production used in baking and cooking across the globe. The other 5% is the durum wheat which is turned in to pasta.

Sowing Seeds
spead the seed across the surface and add and inch of soil over it. Cover with straw to help retain moisture.

seeds can 3 to 10 days for germination. keep soil moist during this time.

Harvest
Cut back the stocks when the seeds are bulk of the grain has becomes golden brown then cut the stock back to the ground. allow the stocks time to dry before thresh the stalks to seperate the seeds husks.
