History
Zuchini comes with a rather confusing history. It is actually a squash but selectively bred to be not a squash. One of the more modern crops it did not come around until the mid 1800s with it first apearing an writing in 1901. Zuchini comes from the italian word zucco meaning mini gorud

Plant care
Sowing Seeds
Build mounds of soil 2 to 3 feet apart. Plant seeds about 1 inch apart and cover with straw.
Germination
Seeds can take 7 to 14 days for germination. keep soil moist during this time.
Pruning
Zuchini has hollow stems. cut back to the main branch to prevent pest and diseases from entering the plant.
Remove any leaves that are touching the soil and thin out over crowded leaves
Harvest
cut the stem rather then twisting to avoid damaging the plant. cut as close to the main vine as possibe.
Growing Tips
Once you remove the straw from the base add mulch to the soil to help retain moisture.
